Dr. Shara Yurkiewicz

Dr. Shara Yurkiewicz, the esteemed Medical Director at AgeWell, is a highly accomplished professional with an unwavering commitment to optimizing the function and quality of life in medically and socially complex patients. Graduating from Yale University with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology and obtaining her M.D. from Harvard Medical School, Dr. Yurkiewicz has garnered an exceptional education. She completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Stanford, followed by a prestigious fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at UCLA. Driven by her belief that providing the best care requires a community effort, she embodies the principle of “meeting people where they are” physically, cognitively, emotionally, and spiritually, while involving their loved ones as a supportive unit.
